How We Rise: How to Rise to Overcome Obstacles to Lead Your Teams and Others

Setbacks and obstacles are part of the human experience, especially in our roles as leaders. There are a lot of tips and tricks that tell us how to handle difficult conversations and situations as leaders, but what helps us rise as more effective leaders is how well we rise to lead ourselves first. This keynote will discuss the ways in which we hold ourselves back from overcoming challenges that are out of our control, and will borrow from concepts in neuropsychology to outline three categorical approaches to rising as a more effective leader. Inspired by leading thinkers like Robin Sharma, Sally Helgesen, and Carol Dweck, this talk brings together strategies, research, and science to provide you with tools, mind hacks, and motivation to overcome both personal and professional challenges with a growth mindset to help you get from where you are today - as a company, leader, and team - to where you want to be in the future.
